Artist Statement and CV

I use the flame of a torch, glass as my brush, and my imagination to create pieces of art glass mainly in the form of tiny glass beads. I also fabricate one of a kind wearable art. I use several mediums and techniques to create my jewelry, but usually like to create pieces that incorporate my glass beads. For my glass art I use flameworking techniques that originated with the Venetians 4000 years ago, as well as Pate de verre, kiln forming and enameling. Always striving to explore other jewelry making techniques, I have recently added metal fabrication in order to create my visions in my jewelry. I seem to be inspired by colors and texture that are all around me, and can’t wait to get to my torch every morning to recreate my inspiration in glass.
